Product shots and portraits die in single-source light: one window or one lamp means one side of the subject falls into shadow. The classic fix is a fill light or reflector â and a screen at fullscreen white is precisely that.
Set CineGlow to 5600K to match daylight from a window, or match it to your key light's warmth so the shot doesn't mix color temperatures. Move the screen closer for stronger fill, further for a subtle lift; the brightness slider fine-tunes without moving anything.
For small products, two phones or tablets running CineGlow on either side make a serviceable lightbox â soft, even, and shadowless enough for listing photos.
Start the fill light âFor small objects, the two-screen lightbox is genuinely effective: place the item on a white surface, put a screen on either side at 45 degrees, and set both to the same temperature. Add a third above if you have one. Because screens are large relative to a small product, the light wraps completely and eliminates the harsh shadows that make listing photos look amateur. Keep the screens far enough back to avoid reflections in glossy surfaces, and set your camera's white balance manually to match your chosen Kelvin value.
